Don't worry about dinner on Thursday night and spend it supporting Secondary! From 5:00 - 9:00pm, head on over to the 121st Ave location and order all the chicken fingers you can eat! If you mention "Jefferson Academy", they'll make sure to throw some of that cash towards our school. SNOW DAY ALERT: Friday, November 8, 2024 will be a snow day for all JA and Summit Academy campuses. All childcare programs, after-school activities, and meetings scheduled will be canceled and all facilities will be closed. Please note: We follow Jeffco Public Schools for weather related closures. Stay safe and warm!

Wednesday is a LATE START! On the first Wednesday of every month, we will have a late start to accommodate meetings for our teachers and staff. Doors will open at 9:30am, first bell at 10:25am. Due to the anticipated cold temperatures over the next week, please do not drop off your student before 9:30am - the doors will not be open. As always on late starts - there is no First Period.

ROUND TWO! Tomorrow evening, the boys soccer team takes on Steamboat Springs in the second round of the State Playoffs. The game is slated to start and will take place rain/snow or shine. In the case of severe weather, we will announce any schedule changes here and on our social pages. Admission is $7 for adults, $5 for students - Activity/Metro/CHSAA passes are accepted.

Hey there Jags! Just a little reminder that we DO have school on Friday, November 1st. We understand that the school district sent out a communication yesterday about Jeffco schools not having class, however, our school calendars do not overlap 100%. This is one of those unfortunate times that we have school when the district does not. See you Friday morning!

Tomorrow night! Rain/Snow or Shine! The boys soccer team takes on Pueblo Central at 6:00pm in the 1st Round of the State Playoffs. Activity passes and Metro passes will be accepted at the game. Tickets are $7 for Adults and $5 for students. Good luck Jags!

Boys Soccer Senior Night 10/22 Come out and celebrate our amazing seniors as they close out the regular season against Eagle Ridge next week. Senior Night ceremonies will take place after the varsity game. We hope to see you out there! JV at 4:30pm Varsity at 6:30pm

Attention JA families! 📢 You may have received a message from Jefferson County Schools with a reminder that students do not have school tomorrow, Friday, September 20th. However, our students WILL have school tomorrow. Jefferson Academy students will not have school on Friday, September 27th instead. As a reminder, JA campuses have their own approved calendars that are not always exactly aligned with Jeffco Public Schools. Please refer to the approved family calendars, which can be found on our websites. If you have questions, please contact your campus front office.

Did you purchase an Activity Pass for your student? If so, please encourage them to stop by the main office to get their sticker! Students will need their Activity Pass sticker for home games and any other after-school activity that has an admission price.

The Paw Patrol is out! Starting today, we will be monitoring the school's parking lot for parking permits. If your student does not have a parking sticker, they will receive a warning ticket. After the warning ticket, fines will be given per the required parking permit form. If your student has not filled out the parking permit form, it's located in the main office. The parking fee can be paid online via the Infinite Campus parent portal or in person to Mr. Melville. If you have any questions, please reach out to the main office.

Don't forget that tomorrow is our September Late Start! No First Period and doors open at 9:30am. A block starts at 10:25am.

Are you a new family to Secondary? Are you curious about the scope of content that your student will learn during their time here? We have an answer for you... CURRICULUM NIGHT AT SECONDARY! On Monday, August 26th, from 5:30pm to 7:30pm, join us for a community event where we will discuss the school's identity and our hopes and desires for your student. The event is open to all Secondary families - new and returning. The evening will begin with an all-community presentation about our school and then break into academic departments where teachers will be able to share what your student's experiences will be throughout their educational careers at Secondary. This event is not meant for families to meet specifically with your student's teachers, but rather learn more about each department as a whole, and what their mission for student learning will look like while attending Secondary. We hope to see you there!

Tonight is the night! Come out and meet the Secondary team at our Open House. From 3:00pm - 6:00pm, we'll open our doors to our new and returning families for a quick meet-n-greet. Students will be able to walk about the school, meet different teachers and staff, and see what we're all about! Worried about dinner plans? Chef Stadler and Chef Quaratino will be behind the grill tossing burgers and hot dogs. Watch out Top Chef, these Jags know how to run a grill. See you tonight!
