Passing the Torch

On June 20th, two Board members ended their 3-year term, and two new Board members were sworn in to start their term. We want to express our gratitude to Tiffany Sorice and Michael Ennis for their hard work serving on the Board, especially during COVID when decisions for the community were even more difficult than usual. We also want to welcome Tristina Pontiakos and John Nunnally to the JA Board for the 2023-2024 school year!

Tiffany Sorice served as President of the Board and will be remembered for her eloquence and grace. She has been (and still is) a Jefferson Academy parent since 2013. Mrs. Sorice currently serves as the Presiding Judge for the City of Thornton, and was formerly the Assistant District Attorney for the 17th Judicial District encompassing Adams and Broomfield counties, and Presiding Judge for the City of Westminster. Mrs. Sorice spends her quiet time competing in marathons, triathlons, skiing, and climbing 14ers. Thank you for your service! Your presence on the Board of Directors will be missed!

Michael Ennis served as Vice-President of the Board and will be remembered for his passion and dedication to the P&G committee. Mr. Ennis’ daughter started at Jefferson Academy in the 2nd grade and just graduated from JA Secondary this year. Mr. & Mrs. Ennis are avid outdoor enthusiasts. They frequently hike, backpack, pull their camper to many mountain campgrounds, and walk their dog, Bayli. They enjoy spending time with family, friends, and parenting their amazing daughter. Thank you for your service! We are grateful for your many contributions during your term!
