Online Annual Update- If you have not yet completed these updates, please do so ASAP.
Step 1: These school agreements require parent initials/signature. Complete this step for each student. These agreements must be completed before your student will be assigned a Chromebook. (link)
Step 2: You will need to update your information in Infinite Campus Parent Portal, sign the Jeffco Schools’ agreements and pay fees. These agreements must also be signed electronically every year. Included in these agreements is The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERBA) affords parents rights with respect to their student’s information. There are three agreements that you may choose to opt in or opt out.
Directory Information for Jeffco Publications applies to yearbook, programs, school websites and social media.
Directory Information for Publication by Media applies to TV, print (newspapers, etc) and internet publications.
Directory Information for Publication by a 3rd party other than media applies to PTO, Jeffco Foundation, after school programs.
Intramural Sports (5th and 6th grade) - We will be offering volleyball in the fall, basketball in the winter, and soccer in the spring. Our program will offer two separate days for each sport to accommodate more students. You will have a choice between practices on Tuesdays or on Thursdays (you will need to select only one). Registration for volleyball will begin on Monday, August. 26. Registration (link), emergency card (link) and payment is required to hold your spot. Registration for basketball and soccer will begin two weeks before the program. Roster spots are on a first-come, first-serve basis. Each program will be 8 weeks long and is available to 5th and 6th graders at the Elementary school as well as our Summit Program (schedule). Drop off paperwork and payment in the office. All practices will be held at the Elementary school from 3:15-4:15. Students will need to be picked up at the main entrance by 4:30. In the event that we do not have enough participants on one of the days, we will move those students over to the other day so that everyone can participate. Lunch Menu/A B C days- The A, B, C days are related to what specials your child will have each day. Those days are indicated on the top right of each day of the month on the monthly lunch menu (see attachment). The menus are posted on our website under Family Resources and then click the menu for that month. (link) The A, B, C specials rotation is also located under Family Resources - Schedules. The specials schedule has the grade level and the initials of the teacher’s last name- (link) (i.e. 5B is 5th grade, Mrs. Brodie).
Picture Day - Thursday, September 5 - All students will have their picture taken. Make up day will be on Thursday, October 17. Volunteers are needed (AM & PM), and you will receive discount vouchers to purchase pictures. Contact Shelly Cohen 720-728-6162.
PTO News- The mission of JA PTO is to Unite our community, Encourage volunteerism, Support students, teachers, staff and families and Fundraise for success. If you haven't already, we invite you to Join PTO! Our first meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 4th at 6:30 PM in the school commons. Childcare will be provided.
Mileage Club will begin Tuesday, September 10. Mileage Club provides an opportunity for students, grades 1 through 6, to exercise their bodies and achieve personal goals. It is held on the track during lunch recess on Tuesdays and Thursdays (weather permitting). Volunteers are needed to make this successful. Please sign up - Mileage Club Volunteer Sign Up Genius.
