School News

Book Fair - September 17 - 19 in the conservatory (next to the library).  The Book Fair will be open for sales on Tuesday 17th 7:15-7:50 a.m. and 3:00-5:00 p.m., Wednesday 18th 7:15-7:50 a.m. and 3:00-6:00 p.m., Thursday 19th 7:15-7:50 a.m. and 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. If you are visiting the Book Fair in the morning, you will enter and exit the conservatory (by the west parking lot). 

Hearing & Vision - Students in Jefferson County in grades Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 5th grade participate in a hearing and vision screening.  This will take place the first week of October.  If you do not want your student tested or have questions, please contact our Health Aide, Danielle Harding at dharding@jajags.com.

Hearing & Vision, many volunteers are needed! -  Wednesday, October 2, Thursday, October 3 and Friday, October 4. Please contact Danielle Harding - dharding@jajags.com.

Chess Club  - 3rd - 6th grades - Mondays, September 9 - November 8 3;15 - 4:15 p.m. Come sharpen your mind, learn new strategies, and challenge your friends in a fun and supportive environment. $120. Sign up here.

Yearbooks are on sale! This year will again feature a high quality, hard cover, 88 page yearbook. Buy yours now and preserve this year's memories forever! Not sure if you've already purchased a yearbook? Click the link and check the participant list for your name.

Mileage Club (grades 1st - 6th) - kicks off Tuesday, September 10 (weather permitting).  We hope to see lots of kids out on the track at lunch recess on Tuesdays and Thursdays running laps and earning charms! If you are interested in volunteering for Mileage Club, please, sign-up!  We can't wait to see everyone on the track!

The Scholastic Book Fair is coming to our school on September 17-19! Come find the perfect fall reads! You will find us in the Conservatory (the room with all the windows connected to the Library) both before and after school.

WatchJAGS (formerly WatchDOGS) will host a Kick-off Pizza Party and Informational Meeting for ALL family members (kids are invited too!) on Thursday, September 19 at 6:00 PM on the playground. WatchJAGS (Jaguars Assisting Great Students) is a program that allows for half-day or full-day volunteer opportunities at the school assisting with traffic & safety, in-classroom assistance based on each volunteer's unique strengths, recess assistance and other needs that may arise throughout the day. Dads, moms, grandparents, aunts, uncles and other family members interested in being involved at school are invited to attend, eat pizza, find out more about the program and sign-up to start volunteering.
