The Cub Den/Church Facility help - The Cub Den seems like a great name for the new digs next door (unofficially). We will be working on the playground structure and adding fencing soon. If you have a set of skills that would be beneficial to us (eg painting, carpentry), we would love to have your help. Please reach out to Shelly Cohen or our Principal, Mr. Feddema if you are interested and able to assist in any project there.
Educational Needs Form - While we do not take teacher requests, this form provides parents/guardians the opportunity to share any specific concerns or suggestions regarding their students educational needs. School Supplies for 2025-2026 School Year - It's time to pre-order your students' school supplies for next year! We have partnered with a company that will put together all of the supplies that your student's teacher has requested. Supplies will be delivered to the school in August and taken to your student's classroom before the first day of school. Please order for your student’s grade level that they will be entering next year. JA earns $5 on each box. Here is the link. For questions contact Rebecca Brinkey at schooltoolboxes@japto.info.
Bridge Books - It's that time of year! Help reduce the "summer slide" by providing enrichment for your child for just 15 - 20 minutes per day all summer long. Bridge Books (summer enrichment workbooks) are available for Pre-K through 8th Grade. Each book is just $15, with a small percentage of the proceeds benefiting PTO. You may order online through Wednesday, April 23rd. Books will be delivered by May 20th. Any questions please email bridgebooks@japto.info.
Report Your Volunteer Hours - Have you attended a PTO meeting (or two), helped plan or cook for a class-sponsored breakfast, assisted in planning a classroom holiday party or otherwise volunteered outside of school hours? If so, please be sure to report any time spent volunteering for Jefferson Academy Elementary during non-school hours using this simple Volunteer Hours Reporting Form. Time contributed during school hours is recorded in the RAPTOR system at school - this form is only for non-school time hours. Your volunteer time matters! Support JA's strategic plan by reporting your hours!
