Jefferson Academy Charter Schools (JA) is dedicated to ensuring equal access for all community members to its services and programs.

We are committed to aligning with the House Bill 21-1110 which supports accessibility for individuals with sensory, cognitive, and mobility disabilities and enhances the experience for all users, regardless of ability.

Commitment to Accessibility

Jefferson Academy remains committed to ongoing evaluation, remediation, and continuous improvement of our digital platforms, programs, and services to ensure equitable access for everyone in our community.

Most pages on our site are available in HTML format that screen readers can decipher. Some documents are in Adobe PDF format, which requires Adobe Acrobat Reader to view. If you do not already have Adobe Acrobat Reader on your computer, you can download it for free from the Adobe website. In addition, some documents are in Google Docs, Google Forms, Google Sheets, or Google Slides format. Most modern browsers and screen readers can view and decipher Google-based documents. You can learn more about the accessibility of Google web products at the Google Accessibility website.

Accessibility Progress Tracking (updated quarterly)

Q1: July - September 2024

  • Converted 6 websites to accessibility compliant web platform

  • Added website accessibility statements to all websites

  • Archived agendas, minutes, presentations and Top 5 for JA Board meetings according prior to June 2024

Q2: October - December 2024

  • Signed an EGE (Eligible Governmental Entity Agreement between the Colorado
    Statewide Internet Portal Authority) to allow a grant application for accessibility tracking conversion

  • Applied for the Colorado Statewide Internet Portal Authority (“SIPA”) grant

  • Hosted a SIPA professional to provide JA with grant, licensing and website checking training

  • Securing 20 licenses for CommonLook Online, CommonLook pdf and CommonLook Office.
